What is a domain?

A domain is usually the name of a website. Domain names help client computers connect to servers. Everything related to a domain name is controlled by the domain name system — the Domain Name System (DNS).

Domain Type (Domain Type):

As you can see, there are many types of domain registration. Some of the important domains to consider when you are thinking about buying a domain for your website is to choose the right domain.

1. TLD — Top Level Domain:

Top Level Domain (TLD) or Internet Domain Extension is the highest (standard) domain extension value. These domain names are the most used. This is the last part of a complete domain. Dot (dot) is the next part of writing.

Example self-disclosure: Here’s the Facebook post you just made, facebook.com is Facebook’s domain name, and the dot (.) followed by the word “com” is the top-level domain extension.

On a website or blog, if you use these top-level domains, your website’s reputation will stand out in the minds of visitors and Google. And, you will profit.

TLDs or Top Level Domains are also called SEO Friendly Domains. Because Google’s search engine gives a lot of importance to the domain extension of this category (category) only to the website.

So, if you are thinking of a website or a blogger, it would be good and profitable to use this substantial top-level domain.

Examples of some TLDs or Top Level Domain Extensions (examples):

.com (commercial)

.org (organization)

.net (network)

.gov (government)

.int (international)

.edu (education)

.biz (business)

.info (info)

2. CCTLD — Country Code Top Level Domain:

If your website or blog is targeted to a particular country (countries), then you can use this successful ccTLD domain extension. These massive domain extensions are named after a country’s two-letter ISO code.

Some examples of country code top-level domains

.us (United States of America)

.uk (United Kingdom)

.in (India).

.bd (Bangladesh)

.ar (Argentina)

.br (Brazil)

.sg (Singapore)

.cn (China)

.ro (Romania)

.jp (Japan)

And, there are many more domain extensions, which are named targeting only one country.
